Hi Kandi,

Here are samples of my visual designs and video content I’ve created within the past year.  All the graphics you see below were designed by me.  All the images are mine, except for the Track and Field Female Athlete.

I am currently a Graphic Design and Marketing Major at Point Loma Nazarene University and expect to graduate in Spring 2027.  I am the Visual Strategist Specialist for our school’s SVA chapter, a student photographer for our school’s Athletic Department, covering NCAA DII sports, and the Architectural Photographer for our school’s Campus Capital Project Initiative.

I woke up one morning a couple of years ago and started my own LLC focused on Youth Sports Action and Portrait Photography.  The funds from this tiny business go towards purchasing professional photography gear.  I have also provided either heavily discounted or free photo services to clients who do not have the financial means to access photography services, helping young athletes get a fighting chance to market themselves for future opportunities.  Much like what has been said in the HOH Speaker Panels….. I started my business and learned as I went.  I have a lot of clientele, but I do not heavily market my services because I want to focus on school to learn graphic design and marketing.  Also, the photography experiences I have been blessed with on campus help build my credit as a photographer who can work on the collegiate level and have the ability to meet short deadlines to shoot, edit, and share images with the schools, PacWest Conference, and the NCAA to be used as content for marketing efforts.

I am a Navy Veteran with 20 years of service, serving as a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman, and for my last 6 years, as a Healthcare Administrator at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton.  I have deployed worldwide and have served under Navy, Army, and Marine Corps commands.  I have a passion for content creation and marketing.  Now that I have completed my healthcare career journey, I want to pursue my passion and create content for good causes… and occasionally sports.  Sports are fun :)

I am also a volunteer parent at my son’s High School Soccer Team as a Content Creator.  I may sound busy, but I am pursuing opportunities to enhance my photography skills and practice the skills I am learning in my graphic design and marketing classes.  I learned the art of photography by watching YouTube tutorials and reading books, and by assisting local photographers.  I am a sponge, and I have a passion to learn. Creating visual content has been therapeutic for me as I continue healing from PTSD.

Thank you for investing your talent to the Military community. I am very grateful.

Here is a recent LinkedIn Post from my Marketing Professor regarding my Marketing Team.

This is me :)
